Since the last Ellington Express we have seen some major changes on the Playing Field. The new play equipment has finally been installed and has already seen a lot of action in the last few weeks.

This equipment has been a long time coming and the result of some hard work of our members; back in 2011 the EPFA approached WREN & its donor landfill operator (FCC) to obtain the grant for the project –

the research and backing documentation required took almost a year to compile and complete and finally this April we saw the equipment installed. Within days we were receiving emails from parents telling us how much their children loved the new equipment. We would like to thank all those that have contributed towards our events over the years that have allowed us to provide this improved facility to the children of Ellington.

If you haven’t seen the equipment yet then feel free to pop up to the Playing Fields to have a look or have a look at our Facebook page (search for “Ellington Playing Fields” in Facebook Groups) where we have posted pictures of the equipment and will be posting details of upcoming events.

Our last event was the Gala Sports Day – which thanks to some brilliant weather was another fantastic day. We would again like to thank all those that attended and took part in the day. I hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did!! Our next event will be the sponsored cycle ride around Grafham on October 13th – anyone interested please contact me for details or a sponsorship form.

We have seen a marked improvement on the Playing Field with regards to Dog Poo and dogs on leads – we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the responsible dog owners for their assistance in this matter.

If anyone has any questions or queries then feel free to contact Harwinder Ghag – 07883098494
